Examination: MRI OF THE RIGHT KNEE

CLINICAL HISTORY: 44-year-old female with history of medial knee pain

COMPARISON: None

MRI FINDINGS: There is no fracture or osteonecrosis. The menisci, cruciate and collateral ligaments are intact. Extensor mechanism is preserved. Mild joint fluid is noted. There is no Baker's cyst. The articular cartilage in the medial and lateral femorotibial and patellofemoral compartments is preserved.

IMPRESSION:

Mild joint effusion raises the possibility of subtle cartilage injury (although none is seen), otherwise unremarkable MRI of the right knee.
