Examination: MRI OF THE LEFT HAND

CLINICAL HISTORY: 28-year-old female with history of pain in the fifth metacarpophalangeal joint.

MRI TECHNIQUE: PD sagittal, axial, coronal; T2 GRE coronal; FIR coronal images of the left hand were obtained on 0.2 Tesla open MRI

MRI FINDINGS: There is no fracture or osteonecrosis. There is no joint effusion or erosion. There is mild capsular thickening at the fifth metacarpophalangeal joint. Flexor and extensor tendons are maintained.

 
IMPRESSION:
 

Mild capsular thickening at the fifth metacarpophalangeal joint suggests a mild arthrosis.
