Examination:
MRI OF THE RIGHT
SHOULDER WITHOUT CONTRAST
CLINICAL HISTORY:
54-year-old female with a history of shoulder pain.
MRI TECHNIQUE:
Sagittal PD, oblique coronal PD, T2, STIR and axial
PD techniques were used to evaluate the right
shoulder on a 0.2 Tesla open MRI.
MRI FINDINGS:
Evaluation of STIR coronal images is technically
limited. There is no fracture or osteonecrosis. The
teres minor and infraspinatus tendons are intact.
The subscapularis tendon is maintained. There is a
near full thickness under surface defect in the
supraspinatus (Coronal PD image 7/15). The long head
of the biceps is in anatomic location. There is no
muscle atrophy. There is minimal acromioclavicular
arthrosis. Labral evaluation is limited, but grossly
intact. There is minimal subcoracoid and
subscapularis bursal fluid. |
