CT scan of the head without intravenous contrast:

Findings and Impression:

Compared with prior study dated 3/7/2006. Again noted is a large ill-defined hypodensity in the right frontotemporal and parietal lobes with effacement of the adjacent sulci, consistent with an acute right MCA territory infarct.

There is mass effect in the form of compression of the right lateral ventricle, 3rd ventricle and effacement of the basal cisterns, increased since prior study.
There is compression of the frontal horn of the left lateral ventricle with 1.4 cm midline shift towards the right, new since prior examination.
There is dilatation of the temporal, occipital horns and body of the left lateral ventricle, which may be related to obstruction at the foramen of Monro, new since prior examination.

There is right uncal, subfalcine and descending transtentorial herniation, new since prior examination.
No evidence of intracranial hemorrhage is noted.
There are small lipomas of the anterior falx, unchanged since prior examination.
The calvarium is unremarkable.
