Teleradiology ties up with Raichur centre

31 Aug 2005, The Hindu

TELERADIOLOGY Solutions on Tuesday said it has tied up with Raichur Diagnostic Centre to provide remotely read digital X-ray and ultrasound services from Bangalore.

The Raichur centre, which offers computed radiography and digital X-ray services in northern Karnataka, will transmit digital X-ray and ultrasound images to Teleradiology's reading centre at Whitefield, Bangalore. There, it will be read and analysed by Teleradiology's team of specialists.

Dr Arjun Kalyanpur, CEO, Teleradiology Solutions, said, "In remote areas of the country, although there are patients and machines/scanners for diagnosis, many a times there is no qualified doctor to interpret the CT scans and ultrasounds and make the accurate diagnosis." Teleradiology is now aiming to extend its services to other districts in Karnataka and beyond.

It has already established similar links with various hospitals in the US and India.
