The Henderson Center Approach to Chiropractic
We at the Henderson Center feel that we have a unique approach to chiropractic care.
Since Dr. Garzillo became Clinic Director in 1993, the Center has enjoyed a growing
reputation for quality health care, with a strong following not just among the patients that we
serve but the local medical community as well. The Center is often the only chiropractic office
that local family physicians and medical specialists will recommend to their patients. The Center
has also become the official chiropractic care provider for many local companies for their injured
workers.
We attribute this success to our special approach to chiropractic care:
- We value our patients more than "chiropractic". Have you ever been to a doctor, and feel like
the doctor is suggesting a certain treatment only because that's the treatment they do, like a surgeon
who tells you that you need surgery, or a physical therapist who thinks that exercises are the cure for
everything? You don't like that, and neither do we. The foundation of our approach to patient care is
that what the patient NEEDS is what's important. That's why we offer many types of care here, why
we don't do chiropractic treatments on all of our patients, and why, if what we do isn't what's best for
you, we will be honest and tell you that, and recommend you to someone who can help.
- We think that a quick recovery is a good recovery. So often you hear about chiropractors who
keep patients coming back forever. You don't want to stay in pain, and we don't want you to stay
in pain. We dedicate all of our resources, experience, and knowledge to getting you to your goals
as quickly as possible, and if you're out of pain, we'll shake your hand, tell you it was nice meeting
you, and if you hope you never need us again, that's fine by us. We're always here if you need us,
but we're happier when you're out of pain.
- We're here for your convenience, you're not here for ours. We accept appointments all
day every weekday (yes, including lunchtimes and evenings), and Saturday mornings. We keep
these very broad hours so that you can see us at your convenience, and so that you don't have
to take time off from work just to come to our office.
- We will respect your wishes. If a patient doesn't want a particular treatment (such as
chiropractic manipulation), we respect that, and we don't pressure you into anything you
don't want. We have become experts in finding treatments that will help, but also that the
patient will feel comfortable with. This is one of the reasons why we are trained in such a
wide variety of therapies, so that we can find the one that works best and that you are
comfortable with.
So we're nice guys, but are we good at what we do? Our existing patients,
and local medical physicians, refer, on average, over three hundred new patients a
year to our office, all because of how much we've helped previous patients. The
extensive amount of different treatments types and therapies we are trained in gives us
a high success rate on a wide variety of conditions and situations. Our staff were all
trained at top schools in their fields, and our head massage therapist, Shiatsu therapist,
and chiropractor have all taught at those schools.
