We won't rush through your visit. We take the time to know you, talk things over with you, reach an accurate diagnosis and help you understand your treatment options.
We don't overbook our schedule, so we can see you promptly. By minimizing your time away from work and your other responsibilities, we use your time efficiently.
You will always see a doctor. We do not employ physician assistants. Dr. Singer will take your history, do your exam, and discuss your options with you.
Our initial costs may be higher than an HMO copayment, but thorough and consistent care from a doctor who knows you well is invaluable.
If we participated in health plans, corporate decision-makers focused on the company's bottom line would dictate the care we provide. They would limit the time we could devote to you and your questions, along with the medications and therapies we could recommend. Dr. Singer provides each patient with sincere, caring, and attentive personal care.
With HMO's, your chart may be reviewed by company personnel and
information may be sold to data-gathering services.
We believe in your right to maintain a private medical record, and
we will not release information without your permission.
Our relationship is only with you.
Under insurance "capitation" agreements, doctors are paid a fixed
amount per month to provide care for each of the insurance company's clients.
With an HMO, the less often a doctor sees you, and the less care he
provides, the more profit he makes. We don't believe medicine should be
practiced this way. Many other doctors have reluctantly accepted
this system, feeling it is their only choice. We have made a
different choice.
