Course Details

Four modules provide 8 to 10 hours of training, practice exercises, and simulations, with minimal reading levels required. Modules employ ethnic, gender, age, and socioeconomic diversity. Student Guides available as downloadable print-outs. Implementation Manual provides administrators with valuable tips to enhance training and tracking.

Module 1: Interviewing

  • Getting Organized: Child care, transportation, clothes, sleep, preparation.
  • Last minute Details: Appearance, arrival, what to do.
  • Beginning an Interview: Greeting, handshake, being seated, behavior.
  • What to say: Positive attitude, correct information, brevity, calmness, manners, eye contact.
  • Simulated Interview: Respond to interviewer's questions.
Module 2: Good Work Habits
  • Importance of Good Work Habits: Introduction.
  • Starting a New Job: Rules and policies, orientation.
  • Good Work Habits: Organization, neatness, lateness, absence.

Module 3: Getting Along

Module 4: Getting Ahead
