CareerScope® Interest Inventory
The best first step for career or educational planning.

With more than 40 years of experience developing world-class career assessments, the Vocational Research Institute has now designed an easy-to-use, affordable interest assessment that conforms to the National Career Development Association’s guidelines. The CareerScope® Interest Inventory results are critical in beginning the career or educational planning process.

Helps to target key areas of interest. The CareerScope Interest Inventory measures and identifies career preferences that correspond to the U.S. Department of Labor’s Interest Areas. These areas are:

Physical Performing

A simple, user-friendly interface provides all instructions and the method for entering responses. Once you have read the task statement, clicking the “Like”, “?”, or “Dislike” button records your preference for the activity. Clicking “Go Forward” bar advances to the next item, while clicking the “Go Back” bar takes you to the previous item.

CareerScope® Interest Inventory results are presented in tabular form and graphic display in the Interest Profile. A statistical analysis (called an “Individual Profile Analysis” or IPA) is performed on the test taker’s response pattern, which yields that person’s high interest areas.This analysis is unique to VRI assessment products.
