To use the Radiolucent Drive:

Align the image

Align the image intensifler with the hole in the nail closest to the fracture until a perfect circle is visible in the center of the screen.

Determine incision point

Place a scalpel blade on the skin to determine the incision point and make a stab incision.

Center drill bit in locking hole

Under image intensification, insert the tip of the 4.0 mm drill bit for the radiolucent drive through the incision and place it onto the bone. Keep the drill bit oblique to the X-ray beam until the tip is centered in the locking hole.
