Indications

The Titanium Distal Femoral Nail is indicated for the stabilization of fractures of the distal femur and/or diaphyseal fractures in which a retrograde approach is indicated. These include:

  • supracondylar fractures, including those with intra-articular extension
  • ipsilateral hip/shaft fractures
  • ipsilateral femur/tibia fractures
  • femoral fractures in the multiply-injured patient
  • fractures proximal to a total knee arthroplasty
  • fractures distal to a hip implant
  • fractures in the morbidly obese patient
  • pathologic fractures including osteoporosis
  • malunions
  • nonunions

    The Titanium Distal Femoral Nail may be used in either reamed or nonreamed applications.
