Technique Summary for the Hybrid Fixator

Basic construction principles can be followed for all Hybrid Fixator frames, and are independent of the fracture location (proximal or distal tibia). 1. Insert wires

2. Attach wires to ring

3. Tension wires

4. Trim wires

5. Construct anterior half-frame

6. Attach Hybrid construct to anterior half-frame

7. Reduce fracture

8. Add second rod

9. Optional:
Adjunctive Schanz screw in proximal fragment.
