Accreditation

The AO North America is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians.

Credit Hours

The AO North America designates this educational activity for a maximum of 10.5 credit hours in category 1 credits toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the activity.

Symposium Location/Hotel

Room reservations are the responsibility of the individual registrant. A block of rooms has been reserved at a rate of $219.00, plus 8% tax, single or double occupancy, at the Coronado Island Marriott, 2000 Second Street, Coronado, California. Rooms will be held at these rates until June 19, 2003. After that date, reservations will be accepted on a space-available basis.

Symposium Description

This one and one-half day Symposium is intended for practicing orthopaedic and neurosurgical spine surgeons who would like to increase their knowledge in the diagnosis and treatment of deformities in the spine. The focus will be on advances as well as controversies in the complex etiology and the biomechanical implications of deformities. Conservative and operative treatment strategies will be presented. Panel discussions will allow for participant interaction.
