The faculty for this course is composed of surgeons and operating room nurses distinguished in the care of the spinal surgery patient.


GOAL

The goal of this course is to provide an educational opportunity for operating room personnel participating in the care of the spinal surgery patient. Course topics will be presented utilizing a dynamic combination of lectures and practical sessions. The hands-on practical session will provide the participants with the opportunity to take an active role in the application of spinal instrumentation on sawbones models under the direction of faculty lab instructors.

ACCREDITATION

AO North America Foundation is accredited as a provider of continuing education in nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation (ANCC).

This recognition does not imply that the AO North America Foundation or the ANCC Commission on Accreditation approves or endorses any product included in the activities. This course has been awarded 10 Contact Hours for the Registered Nurses.

This continuing education activity is approved by the Association of Surgical Technologists, Inc. for 8 Category 3 CEs for continuing education in surgical technology for this course. Approval refers to recognition of educational activities only and does not imply approval or endorsement of any product or company displayed in any form during the presentation of educational activities.
