Transportation and Access - Philadelphia and it's city center are served by Interstates 76, 95, and 676 and all the modern means of mass transit. It is a very convenient place from which to visit the New Jersey beaches or some of the other wonderful major cities on the East Coast. The mainstay of Philadelphia's transportation system is the historic 30th Street Station. From the station you can hop Amtrak to New York or Washington D.C., take the regional lines to all the major suburban areas and the airport, or traverse downtown on the subway system. SEPTA (Southeastern Pennsylvania Transporation Authority) runs the city bus system which also makes getting to the 'burbs very easy.

Parks and Recreation - Fairmount Park is the largest inner-city park in the world! Overall, there are over 8,900 acres in the Fairmount Park system, including parks, historic buildings, golf courses, athletic fields, and miles of trails. Many of the parks and public spaces in Center City are well-maintained by private businesses, charitable organizations, and neighborhood "Friends" groups, who work in partnership with the Fairmount Park Commission.
