Maury Malyn, MS, PT Myofascial Release treatment | What is Myofascial Release Therapy? | Is It Right For Me? | Testimonials | My Office | Contact | Policies | Home | About Maury Malyn, MS, PT I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Arcadia University (formerly Beaver College) in Glenside, Pennsylvania. I have practiced physical therapy in environments that include hospital intensive care units, rehabilitation units, schools, residential settings for head-injured individuals, and homecare. I have experience working with people of all ages, from preemies in neonatal intensive care to centenarians. Most recently, I have studied extensively under John F. Barnes, PT, who is the world's leading authority and developer of the modern Myofascial Release approach. I was on the staff of the Myofascial Release Treatment Center for over two years. I have been a resident of the Wayne area for over 21 years. I'm married to Jane Tarnoff Malyn, MA, RD, owner of Nutrition Works. We live with our two teenage daughters and our dog, Laika, a large Samoyed often found making the scene in downtown Wayne. I love to travel and I'm passionate about kayaking wherever there is whitewater or surf. I credit Myofascial Release with helping me to overcome serious chronic pain that had threatened my ability to continue practicing physical therapy. My own experiences with chronic pain and the relief I have gained through Myofascial Release have made me an ardent proponent of this uniquely effective therapeutic approach.
