Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio!
Lawrence, Kan., March 20, 2007 – Approximately 2,200 builders, engineers,
architects, suppliers and support personnel participated in the National
Frame Builders Association's (NFBA) annual convention and trade show, Frame
Building Expo. The Expo took place Feb. 28 – March 2, 2007 at the Indiana
Convention Center and RCA Dome in Indianapolis. The event marked record
attendance for an NFBA convention.
NFBA's Frame Building Expo features a construction industry trade show and
educational programming specific to the post-frame building industry.
Builders, engineers, architects, academics and material suppliers
participated in thirty educational classrooms sessions organized by NFBA for
the Expo.
Topics for NFBA's educational sessions covered all aspects of the post-frame
building industry, including the latest design and engineering advice from
leading academic faculty and recognized industry experts. NFBA's
programming lineup included eleven "Exhibitor Showcase" classroom sessions
presented by manufacturers and distributors to educate attendees about new
products and provide sound advice to enhance efficiency through proper
product implementation.
The Frame Building Expo is the only event where post-frame industry
professionals from across the nation can mingle and share ideas. The
convention featured the only construction industry trade show of its kind.
This year's event attracted more than 150 exhibiting companies.
Attendees met building component manufacturers and construction industry
suppliers at the trade show, saw the newest products, entered prize drawings
and participated in special events and competitions. Thursday's trade show
featured a "Nail Pounding Competition" sponsored by Maze Nails, and a "Screw
Driving Competition" sponsored by Atlas Bolt & Screw Co.
At the NFBA Awards Luncheon, NFBA "Building of the Year" contest winners and
runners-up were recognized in 16 building categories covering commercial,
industrial, institutional, residential, agricultural, and retrofit/remodel
building types. Distinguished members also received the association's
highest awards for service to the industry.
Convention-related social events included celebrity appearances and live
entertainment. Several exhibitors pooled resources to sponsor "The 101
Voices & Faces of "The Builder Brothers Musical Comedy Show" - a
high-energy, good clean musical-comedy act that had the audience in
stitches. The annual Plyco Hospitality and Wheeling Jamboree also featured
musical entertainment and beverages for all attendees. The annual
"Christians in Construction" event featured the musical family group "The
Needhams."
The 2007 Frame Building Expo will be remembered as an event that featured
outstanding educational programming, record attendance and a record number
of exhibitors. The 2008 Frame Building Expo will be February 20-22 in
Columbus, Ohio.
