DW's owners have vast construction backgrounds: Dan Milford has lived in the Shawnee Mission area his entire life. As an adolescent, Dan worked for his father who owned a remodeling and construction company. The business soon grew into a very prosperous metal welding and custom iron ornamental company, which handled small repairs to full stage residential and commercial construction. Dan has made remodeling and construction his career, and has extensive experience in all aspects of indoor and outdoor remodeling.

Wes Barber has been in the remodeling and construction field since early adulthood. He began working for Acuff and Rhodes New Homes, which still builds quality homes in the KC area and throughout the United States, after high school graduation. At the age of 20, he began working for McQuaid Brothers Remodeling, Inc., which is one of the largest and highest quality remodeling companies to the KC area. Wes quickly moved up through the company, learning numerous trades including framing, plumbing, windows, doors, flooring, drywall, decks, and fences. Wes worked for McQuaid Brothers for seven years, before he and Dan went into business together in the spring of 1997.

DW Industries, LLC knows that the quality of craftsmanship from most contractors does not meet the standards of most homeowners. As of January 2006 we are no longer doing remodeling projects. We are only building the finest quality decks, screened porches, Hot tub enclosures, and outdoor living areas in Kansas City. This is an area we feel we have no equal. We handle all financial, scheduling and service issues with our customers on person to person basis. We, also, understand that insurance coverage is a priority for most homeowners. Therefore, DW Industries, LLC carries at least $1,000,000.00 in liability insurance and $500,000.00 Workers compensation insurance for the safety of both the consumer and contractor. DW backs the integrity and character of its employees by carrying a $5,000.00 "dishonesty bond" which covers theft or malicious destruction of property.
