This song is inspired by strange times in the financial markets.
When I listen to God, sometimes future events are revealed. Since this is so weird, it was hard to believe. It is hard to understand. So, to get some sort-of grip on what it means, I favor using a parallel economic forecast. As things in the financial predictions come to pass, so do the corresponding prophecies.
We are going through one of those peculiar periods. For instance, a short while ago I listed a gold bar for sale at a price I didn't think gold would go to in the foreseeable future. However, this morning as I watched the financial news network the price of gold was approaching the "strike price."
Making this market all the more bizarre (or should I say "Making this all the more a bizarre bazaar?) was P. Diddy being interviewed. Yup, as I watched the price of gold come into "its time," there was a rapper giving his financial predictions.
Signs Of The Times?
"To market, to market to buy a fat pig. Home again, home again, jiggity jig." Have I flipped my wig? Or, are things really as strange as they appear? At least from here, events are unfolding in an odd fashion People being driven by greed and fear Stepping over the man on the road to go "cash in" That's right. What a sight: "A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he fell into the hands of robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead." Now, I watch... in disbelief... I can't get it straight in my head Ooooooo... the herd stampedes and tramples the man Soooooo... they can get to market to market being a pig "Oh, look... a piece of gold... let me dig, dig, dig!" Gold diggers... figgers'... thinking they can buy the riches of heaven That's a bad plan Instead of takin', we should be givin' But, I look over the horizon And, spy no good Samaritans nigh Yet, we expect to be forgiven? We were suppose to put the man on our own donkey Alas, we choose to be the ass Can't we hear his plea, "Please help me!" Or, are we just gonna jiggity jig like a pig... Dance on his grave? Is this any way to behave? Instead of takin', we should be givin' Yet, we expect to be forgiven?
