About Us: Universal Fastener Outsourcing, LLC (UFO) is a (OEM) supply chain company with 50+ years experience in the fastener industry and a member of STAFDA, NADRA, American Wood Preservers Association (AWPA) and the Southern Forest Products Association (SFPA).

UFO has developed PT2000, an alloyed coating that excels for exterior applications and use in the "new treated lumber" environment with chemicals like: alkaline copper quaternary (ACQ), copper azole (CBA) and sodium borates (SBX). PT2000 is for use in all treated and pressure treated lumber. These chemicals meet EPA requirements but have tested much more corrosive to fastener coatings than the CCA chemical ("Green Wood", "Green Plate") which was replaced December 31, 2003, as directed by the EPA for residential application in the USA.
